We have grown considerably over recent years and our team of about 80 staff are employed in a collegial and supportive workplace environment. Our in-service education programme focuses on up-skilling staff to reach their maximum potential. Permanent part-time and casual positions regularly become available. What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Personal Care Worker (Cert 3)

About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for a Personal care Worker to join the team.

Personal care staff are responsible for ensuring care is given to clients in line with best practice. It is expected that all areas of legislation and compliance are met. Full Position description available on application.

To be eligible to join the team we require the following:

  • Consistent with State and Territory public health orders, all candidates must produce evidence that they have received the current (i.e. 2023) seasonal influenza vaccination or medical evidence of an accepted clinical contraindication to receiving the influenza vaccination
  • Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia 
  • Valid National Police Check 
  • Covid-19 Vaccine (3rd dose)

Registered Nurse

About the role

We currently have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join the team working permanent full-time. The Registered Nurse Grade 1-3 are responsible for ensuring clinical best practice is adhered to, and all areas of legislation and compliance are met.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure residents are encouraged and assisted to maintain their independence and lifestyle choices.
  • Ensure all clinical documentation is completed within associated timeframes. Ensure assessments and care plans optimise the health and well-being of residents, inclusive of both clinical and non-clinical requirements.
  • Ensure all ACFI documentation is complete within appropriate timeframes.
  • Manage all aspects of medication management as per current legislation, and in accordance with guidelines established by the AHPRA.
  • Participate in the Napier Street Aged Care Services quality improvement program
  • Adhere to Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Comply with all Napier Street Aged Care Services policies and procedures
  • Maintain privacy obligations at all times as per legislation
  • Adhere to all legislative guidelines
  • Complete an annual staff appraisal

Qualifications & Experience

  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and a current practicing certificate.
  • Evidence of recent clinical experience / knowledge.
  • Good communication (written and verbal) and basic computer skills
  • Ability to work with residents from culturally diverse backgrounds in varying levels of functioning.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision and as a member of multi skilled team
  • Knowledge of universal infection control precautions
  • Understanding of the ageing process and associated cognitive deficits.
  • Well organised and manages time effectively
  • Ability to achieve set goals and objectives
  • Understanding of care assessment and use of the ACFI and the upcoming AN-ACC funding.
  • Understanding of aged care Accreditation requirements
  • Able to show annual evidence of maintenance of CPD points
  • Computer literate
  • Strong ability to supervise and manage staff

Volunteering
at Napier Street

Volunteers play an important role in the daily lives of residents and Day Centre participants. If you would like to help support our community by offering your time and skills to Napier Street Aged Care, please contact our Lifestyle Coordinator for a chat. The roles of volunteers are diverse and can range from driving residents to appointments and chaperoning them on shopping trips to regularly assisting with in-house recreational pursuits and social activities.Please note that all volunteers must hold and present a valid police check clearance.
